1. Purpose and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Darky Development collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use darkydev.net, request a quote, purchase or commission services, join an operated community, invite a Discord bot, download software, submit a report, receive support, or interact with related systems.
Some products, including Darky's DonutStats, may display additional privacy notices on their own domain or inside the service. A product-specific notice supplements this Policy for that product.
2. Information you provide
- Name, email address, Discord username, Minecraft username, Telegram username, account IDs, and contact preferences.
- Project descriptions, budgets, deadlines, quotations, invoices, support messages, feedback, approvals, and transaction records.
- Files, screenshots, videos, logs, configuration files, crash reports, code, databases, world files, graphics, text, and other content supplied for a project.
- Server addresses, hosting details, domain information, repository access, API keys, webhook URLs, bot tokens, credentials, and permissions intentionally provided for authorized work.
- Reports, appeals, evidence, usernames, moderation history, and related information submitted to Scam Reports or another community safety system.
3. Information collected automatically
Websites, bots, software, hosting platforms, and security systems may automatically process IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referral source, page activity, timestamps, request metadata, command usage, error data, performance information, cookies, local storage, and security logs.
The main site may use local storage for theme preference and a contact-form cooldown. Hosting, CDN, form, and security providers may independently create access and abuse-prevention logs.
4. Payment information
Payment providers may process your payment-card, bank, PayPal, billing, tax, or verification information. Darky Development generally receives transaction identifiers, payment status, payer information made available by the provider, receipts, dispute information, and the amount paid rather than complete payment-card details.
Payment providers process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
5. Discord bots and Discord services
Depending on permissions, enabled features, and commands, a Discord bot may process user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, usernames, avatars, interaction content, command options, message content required for a feature, attachments, server configuration, premium status, moderation records, audit data, timestamps, and permission information.
Data may be used to execute commands, maintain settings, authenticate premium access, prevent abuse, deliver alerts, produce analytics, manage tickets, generate images, maintain watchlists, operate moderation features, and troubleshoot failures.
6. Minecraft mods, plugins, and server systems
Minecraft products may process usernames, UUIDs, server addresses, player lists, commands, local settings, keybinds, configuration files, gameplay events, item or auction data, logs, webhook destinations, reports, and other information required by the feature.
Client-side cosmetic and identity tools generally alter local presentation unless the product description states that data is transmitted. Scanner, reporting, webhook, analytics, account, or update features may send data to the configured service or destination.
7. Websites, stores, and forms
Websites and storefronts may process contact forms, order information, support requests, account identifiers, product selections, analytics, cookies, referral information, and technical logs. Tebex, Vercel, Formspree, domain registrars, hosting providers, and similar platforms may independently process information needed to provide their services.
8. Scam Reports data
Scam Reports may process Minecraft usernames, report descriptions, evidence, timestamps, reporter identifiers, appeal submissions, staff notes, decisions, and records needed to prevent duplicate or abusive submissions.
Submitted evidence should contain only information relevant to the report. Do not submit doxxing, unrelated private information, passwords, financial account data, or unlawful content. Reports may be shared with authorized reviewers and may be disclosed to the reported user when appropriate for an appeal, subject to safety and privacy considerations.
9. Purposes of processing
- Provide, configure, deploy, maintain, and support requested services.
- Respond to questions, create quotes, process orders, verify payments, and maintain business records.
- Operate Discord commands, Minecraft features, websites, stores, reports, appeals, premium access, and community systems.
- Authenticate users, licences, permissions, subscriptions, purchases, and entitlements.
- Detect fraud, abuse, spam, malware, unauthorized access, leaked credentials, chargebacks, and security incidents.
- Debug errors, review logs, test compatibility, improve performance, and develop new features.
- Moderate communities, enforce rules, investigate reports, and respond to appeals.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, and protect legal rights.
10. Legal bases
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, information may be processed to perform a contract, take steps requested before entering a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, establish or defend legal claims, or act with consent.
Consent may be withdrawn where processing depends on consent, but withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing and may prevent continued use of a feature.
11. Service providers and sharing
Information may be shared with providers supporting hosting, cloud infrastructure, databases, domains, content delivery, forms, email, repositories, communications, analytics, security, error monitoring, payment processing, invoicing, and customer support.
Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, law enforcement, courts, regulators, payment networks, fraud-prevention services, or affected parties where reasonably necessary to comply with law, investigate abuse, protect safety, enforce rights, or respond to a dispute.
Darky Development does not sell personal information for money.
12. Third-party platforms
Discord, Modrinth, Microsoft, Mojang, Minecraft servers, Tebex, Vercel, GitHub, Formspree, payment providers, hosting companies, domain registrars, and linked websites are independent services. Their processing is governed by their own policies, terms, settings, and permissions.
13. Cookies and local storage
The website may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technology for essential functionality, preferences, security, abuse prevention, form cooldowns, session management, and performance. You can clear or restrict storage through browser settings, although features may not function correctly afterward.
14. Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, including delivery, support, accounting, fraud prevention, security, backups, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement.
Retention periods vary. Project communications and invoices may be retained for business and legal records; security logs may be retained for a limited period; active bot settings may remain until a server removes the bot or requests deletion; reports and appeals may remain while needed to maintain the integrity of a safety system.
15. Credentials and sensitive project access
Credentials supplied for a project are used only for authorized work, testing, deployment, support, or security. Customers should provide minimum necessary access, use temporary credentials where possible, and rotate passwords, tokens, keys, and webhooks after completion.
Do not send payment-card numbers, government identification, health information, or other sensitive personal information unless specifically required through an appropriate secure process.
16. Data security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures may include access controls, restricted credential handling, account security, backups, logging, encrypted transport where available, and limiting access to authorized persons.
No internet transmission, Discord message, database, hosting account, or software system is completely secure. Users should maintain strong unique passwords, multi-factor authentication, current backups, and secure devices.
17. International processing
Providers may process information in Canada, the United States, Europe, or other countries where their infrastructure or personnel are located. Information may therefore be subject to foreign laws and lawful access requests.
18. Public information
Information posted in public Discord channels, Modrinth pages, Minecraft servers, reviews, public reports, public profiles, or community forums can be viewed and copied by others. Avoid posting information you do not want made public.
19. Children and minors
Services are not designed to collect unnecessary information from young children. Minors should use paid services, provide credentials, or submit personal information only with parent or guardian permission where required.
A parent or guardian may contact Darky Development regarding information submitted by a child. Verification may be required before information is disclosed or deleted.
20. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about processing and disclosures.
Requests must contain enough information to identify the relevant account, transaction, server, report, or service. Identity verification may be required. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, payment disputes, or the establishment and defence of legal claims.
21. Deletion and bot removal
Removing a bot from a Discord server may stop future collection but does not always automatically erase historical records, security logs, premium transactions, moderation records, or backups. Server owners may request deletion of eligible server configuration data through support.
Deletion requests involving reports, fraud, chargebacks, abuse, or legal claims may be restricted where retention is necessary and lawful.
22. Automated processing
Some systems may automatically calculate statistics, flag errors, generate alerts, classify command results, detect suspected abuse, or display report status. These outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and may be reviewed or corrected by authorized staff where applicable.
23. Business transfers
If a service, product, or business operation is reorganized, sold, merged, transferred, or discontinued, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
24. Legal requests and safety
Information may be preserved or disclosed when reasonably believed necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect users, prevent harm, enforce agreements, or defend legal rights.
25. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated when products, providers, data practices, security measures, or legal requirements change. The revised version and date will be posted on this page. Material changes may also be announced through the website, Discord, or the affected service where practical.
